This accredited course provides healthcare professionals—including nurses, doctors, dentists, paramedics, healthcare assistants, and other clinical staff—with comprehensive knowledge and practical competence in Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques and the effective use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED).
Participants will cover the following core topics:

Understanding the chain of survival and its importance in healthcare settings.

Recognition of cardiac arrest, including rapid assessment and immediate response.

Effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), including chest compressions and rescue breaths.

Safe operation and application of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Recovery position and aftercare management for casualties following cardiac arrest.

Understanding the responsibilities, risks, and safety considerations relevant to BLS and AED usage in healthcare environments.
Upon successful completion, attendees will receive a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification, enabling them to act swiftly, confidently, and appropriately in life-threatening emergencies.
