The NPORS Experienced Worker Test is aimed at operators who already have substantial, hands-on experience operating 360-degree excavators, both above and below 10 tonnes. This is a test-only assessment, designed to formally recognise the skills and knowledge the candidate already holds.
This route is ideal for operators who do not require full training but need to gain a recognised qualification to meet employer or site requirements, particularly where proof of competency is required for working on construction sites.
Who Should Attend:
This test is suitable for experienced operators who are confident in their abilities and have a thorough understanding of operating 360 excavators in a variety of settings. This is not a training course, so candidates must already have the necessary skills, knowledge, and practical experience before attending.
Assessment Duration:
- 1 Day (Assessment only – no training provided)
Assessment Process:
✅ Pre-test briefing and familiarisation
✅ Theory test (multiple choice questions covering legislation, safety, and machine knowledge)

On successful completion, candidates will receive:
- NPORS Operator Card – 360 Excavator Above & Below 10t (N202)
This can be issued as either a Traditional NPORS Card or an NPORS CSCS Operator Card, depending on the candidate’s needs.
Entry Requirements:
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
- A good understanding of English (both spoken and written).
- Significant prior experience operating 360 excavators.
